In the second quarter of this year, we bring you information about our ongoing projects and also our efforts to be part of the international community.

We are beginning to highlight the current needs of this generation with regard to job training, skill development, and placements.

We hope to establish more connections with other industries in the future.

SCREENING OF NEW BORN BABIES FOR HEARING IMPAIRMENT

IAP Mumbai in collaboration with the VConnect Foundation are proud to announce the introduction of the initiative for Newborn Hearing Screening at the Sir JJ group of hospitals, Mumbai from the coming year 2024.

The ‘New Born Hearing Screening Test’ is a simple test which is done using an ‘OAE’ test with a written report given the same day.
The testing is being conducted by our trained tester on our own equipment, thrice a week.
In case of any baby detected with a hearing problem, follow up tests are recommended preferably at our Audiology Clinic at Sion.
A second follow up test is recommended for children in the NICU after one month.

Till date, mid January, we have tested over 150 babies.

VConnect Foundation is a parent support group for children with hearing loss. It is a supportive network for families of children committed to using ‘Listening and Spoken Language’ to communicate and all these children use hearing devices to listen.

VConnect Foundation is delighted to announce the opening of the VConnect Foundation Audiology Clinic, in August 2023, supported by the Areez Khambatta Benevolent Trust.

The clinic has the entire test battery of the latest state of the art equipment for testing hearing loss from Newborn babies to Senior Citizens. It is situated in the premises of Shankh Cochlear Implant Clinic at Sion, Mumbai and provide the following services:
